Menopause Initiative Uganda is a nonprofit NGO with the purpose of creating awareness to stop the stigma of menopause. We are hinged on community-based structures involving local councils, senior women, community health workers and religious leaders.

Target Population

To decrease the stigma of menopause amongst women through story telling.
• To sensitize and empower women of all ages to manage menopause and its associated challenges.
• To construct Women’s wellness center to offer treatment, physical fitness and psychotherapy.
• To improve women generating activities to enable them to access treatment.

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy, which is also known as PT, trained Physical therapists to evaluate and treat abnormal physical function related to an injury, disability, or other health condition.


This is a relationship of trust were confidentiality is paramount to successful counselling. Counsellors will explain their policy on confidentiality.

Ultrasound Scanning

This is a medical test that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from the inside of your body. Ultrasound uses no radiation. For this reason, it’s the preferred method for viewing a developing fetus during pregnancy.

Aqua Therapy

Aquatic therapy, or pool therapy, consists of an exercise program that is performed in the water. It is a beneficial form of therapy that is useful for a variety of medical conditions.
